This Persian handmade carpet, with 230 cm × 150 cm (7.55 ft x 4.92 ft) dimensions is a historical work of art that was woven during the era of the Qajar dynasty, Persia (1789 – 1925).
This splendid carpet was crafted as part of an Amiri decree which was a request from the leader of the Qajar dynasty to craft the best possible work of art that depicted a map of the area with delineations of territories administered by the Ottoman Empire (1299 – 1922).
